INTRUSIVE MAGNETOMETER SURVEYS

What is an Intrusive UXO Survey

For sites where an elevated UXO risk has been determined an Intrusive UXO / UXB Survey can detect ferrous objects for deep intrusive groundworks typically piling or deep borehole works. Typically these surveys are undertaken prior to deep foundations works.

A magnetometer probe (cone) is pushed in the ground by hydraulic pressure to survey the column of soil to detect for deep unexploded ordnance (UXO-UXB). Every survey position provides a column of clearance down to maximum bomb penetration depth or upon refusal due to dense natural strata,. Due to our probe (cone) radius we can often capture multiple pile locations per survey.

A UXO clearance report will be provided by a third-party specialist UXO company.
